With a light breakfast made of fresh cheese, butter, and bagel, I headed off to my lab to begin working.

After work, I headed out to a mall called Hypermart...and ate KFC haha. Later I got brave and tried Vietnamese noodles. Apparently, a lot of illegal Vietnamese immigrants have settled in Olomouc.
Of course, the main reason to go to the mall was to buy some bread and other stuff. I ended up going to a local market as I got used to speaking Czech a bit more later on; but in the beginning, I thought this mall was the only mall with a market haha.
After shopping, I joined other professors for a glass of beer. Beer is as cheap as, if not cheaper, than bottled water in Czech- so it is a standard to drink at least .5 to 1 liter of beer every meal. Of course, I got used to it pretty soon haha. The meals are usually greasy and starchy. I really regret that I didn't take as many photos as I should have :/
This concludes the log #2 of my Czech trip. :)
